Hello

What drives me is a commitment to lifelong learning and a passion for excellence. I love seeing projects through from concept to completion and am eager to leverage my skills to contribute to the tech industry’s growth. I believe in the power of collaboration and innovation to create solutions that make a positive impact. My goal is to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in technology, contributing to a better, more connected world.

My journey in tech started with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, followed by a Master’s in Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan. These educational experiences laid the groundwork for my career, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills.

At present, I’m a Software Engineer and Project Lead at Teledyne FLIR IIS

Teledyne FLIR IIS
Software Engineer & Project Lead
May 2022 – Present Vancouver

Tech Stack:ASP.NET, C#, React, Next.js, Elasticsearch, AWS S3, Docker, Jenkins

Achievements:

  • Led the successful migration of the company’s database to Elasticsearch Cloud, boosting database availability from 99% to 99.99%. Achieved zero downtime during the transition, significantly reducing production risks. Presented results at the company-wide All Hands meeting, increasing recognition of the team’s accomplishments.
  • Pioneered the development of a calibration infrastructure for a new product introduction, reducing calibration time by 37%. Re-architected a monolithic application into microservices, redesigned the user interface to improve intuitiveness, and implemented a caching system to optimize performance.
  • Engineered a robust solution for the efficient migration of 7 TB of critical production data from an outdated database to AWS S3 to ensuring data integrity. Speed up the migration 3x by utilizing asynchronous programming and an Exponential Backoff retry algorithm.
  • Developed an innovative visualization tool for the software architecture, enhancing team comprehension of the infrastructure network, speeding up the onboarding process for new hires, and streamlining daily management of our complex systems.
